Youth Participation
On the First Sunday of each month our children actively take part in our Service.
They read the Lesson, then bring the Elements and the Gifts to the Altar.
Sometimes they present a musical performance
Children's Ministry
At the main Eucharist on Sunday morning (10:30 am at St Peter's), children and their parents are most welcome. Following the Gospel the children move to the vestry for special activities which are related to the Gospel for the day or to the season. Trained and experienced teachers supervise these sessions. Prior to the communion of the people, the children rejoin the congregation, come to the altar for a blessing and show the congregation what they have made at the conclusion of the service.
Other children's programs include preparation for First Communion and for Confirmation. Contact the Vicar for details.
Children's Carol Service
At Holy Nativity - a special service for children, followed by supper. Check our Parish Calendar for dates and times.
An empty crib is placed at the head of the Nave. This crib is "populated" with the well loved Nativity characters and animals
including Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, the Angels, the animals of the Stable, the Shepherds and the Three kings
The pictures below show these characters being carried by our children to the crib.
Between each "delivery" we all listen to a reading, then we sing the relevant Christmas Carol
